“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.”
 J.M.Barrie

In a quiet tidal pool, by a cold dark shore, the spirits of drowned women await mortal petitioners who will accept their gifts.

Rusalka is still in progress and we were honored that the designer, Nick Wedig, allowed us to share a game with our listeners. Go check out his work at his Teapot Games site.

The Map:

To the South is the Shore. To the North West the Village. A stone alter and a configuration of stones rests near the edge of the pond closest to the village.
On the South side of the pond where the sea threatens to enter the pool, is a cannonball sunk in the silt. On Eastern bank a massive albino crocodile makes its home. Along the shore large poles are sunk into the sand and mud. They are topped with winding sheets that snap in the ocean winds.

The Characters:

Rurik (Amanda McLoughlin) – An aspect of moonlight, she wears flowers in her hair and ages with the phases of the moon, yo-yoing between a child and crone.

Marichka (Julia Schifini) – An aspect of tides, she has flowing seaweed for hair and jagged shark teeth.

Semyon (John Holt) – An aspect of sorrow, she is a paper thin spirit with tattered flaking edges.

Bohdana (Ken Breese) – An aspect of ghosts, her face is masked and her dress flows behind and seems to have no end.
