Ribbon Drive Rules

This is a brief overview of Ribbon Drive rules from set up through till the end of play. Ribbon Drive is designed by Avery Alder of Buried Without Ceremony.

We did our best to give you a brief overview of the mechanics. The Ribbon Drive Rules aren’t very complex, but like most simple games are easier to grasp not in an explanation, but in actual play.

Recommended number of players: 3-5, Play time 3-6 hours on average

Ribbon Drive is a ‘GMless’ game, you don’t need a Dungeon Master or Game Master setting up the rules and the world. It is helpful to have a facilitator – someone playing with you who has played the game before.

We recommend picking up a copy of the Ribbon Drive rules from Buried without Ceremony. They have copies available as PDF and physical books.

In addition to 3-5 players Ribbon Drive only requires a handful of components:

1) Rulebook

2) Mixes (one per player, 30-75 minutes each)

3) Index Cards/Paper

4) Writing Utensils
